Antoinette Helbing

Antoinette Helbing – The Low Flow

Class description: The Low Flow is an exercise based class proposing an entrance into a physical and mental state of availability. The class is built on three ground pillars – the simultaneous waking up of the body and mind aiming for a state of readiness and availability – the strengthening and lengthening the full body – the research of the floor as a power engine. Antoinette works with simple and well known movement material to enable the participants to dive into their bodies and to give space for own research/investigations.

Antoinette is a German dance artist based in Copenhagen. She is collaborating with the film artist Jan Vesala with whom she created the award winning movies “BANG” and “Re-Dream”. Her choreographic works “How to be/loved” (2013) and “Re-Dream” (2016) toured internationally. Next to her choreographic practice she works as dancer for Åben Dans Productions, Andreas Constantinou, Tina Tarpgaard, MYKA and Kitt Johnson. As part of her teaching practice she gives classes at Dansehallerne Copenhagen, Danish Dance Theatre, Corpus, The Danish National School of Performing Arts, Danscentrum Syd, Skånes Dansteater and Norrdans.
