About class
During the week I will share my favourite warm up and technique excercises.
It will begin quite slow and soft and then move through different excercices and themes to touch on balance, articulation and expression. There will be different themes each day. Either repertoar from a piece and the warm up that was built for the piece, or methods from pieces i have done. Like this:
Monday: excercise day and working with “your inner Dance library”: watching and performing small dances, recycling. (Principles from the piece RUDY)
Tuesday: sporty punk ballet day 1: ballet bar and phrases with big jumps (warm up and repertory from How to do things with Romance)
Wednesday: dancing from the face and emotional imagination, dancing through imagiation and states (methods from DUNKA DUNKA)
Thursday: sporty punk ballet day 2: ballet bar and phrases and moving through space like a pack of ballet dancers to punk music
