Paloma Madrid

Paloma Madrid choreographer, performer, dancer and dance educator. As an active and emerging artist, she has begun to describe herself as the “poetical body investigator”. Proposing the body as a medium in constant change and knowledge-producer. Madrid works are constantly exploring the intersection between collaborative art and social choreography. Her work is always searching for possibilities of the mind and body to re-think the way of dance and choreography.

Recently collaborations commissioned work for Riksteatern, “never grow old” premier 2019. “The cleaner” for Marina Abramovic, Svenska hijabis with America Vera Zavala, “Snoppen blöder” with
Tvillingskapet, La Familia/ العائلة for Alias Teatern, En blodröd droppe i ett blått hav for Fisksätra Museum. Education, degree of master of fine arts in choreography and bachelor of arts of dance pedagogy from DOCH/SKH, School of Dance and Circus, Stockholm University of the arts, Sweden.
