Robert Hewitt*

Born in the UK and educated at the Royal Ballet School in London, Robert danced professionally with the Vienna State Opera Ballet and the Norwegian National Ballet Company. Since 2001 he has been working as a freelance teacher in classical ballet,
working regularly with such companies as Cullberg Ballet, Carte Blanche Norway, Göteborg Danskompani, Skånes Dansteater, Norrdans, Danish Dance Theatre, Gärtnerplatz Theater Munich, Hessisches Staatsballett and Theater Regensburg.

Robert also teaches the open classes in Oslo, Vienna, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Amsterdam as well as at the international summer festivals in Bolzano and Stockholm. He is also employed as a lecturer in classical ballet at the Institute for Dance Arts (IDA) Linz, as well as guest teaching with MUK Wien, D.O.C.H Stockholm and Spinoff Oslo.
